Update - Milo's New Job at Randall Church

You may have noticed, this blog has been particularly silent for a little while. There has been a lot of searching and processing going on in my heart, in my family, and in my life as a whole. It has been a fantastic learning process.

I spent a great deal of time over the past 3 months or so, trying to get closest to the places where I easily felt closest to God. This took the form of hikes through the woods, hours of splitting firewood, cross country skiing, fiddling with bikes in the garage, downhill skiing, and running... lots of running. These tend to be the peculiar things I do that make me feel the most uniquely me. It is also in these moments that I often hear from God. Either through moments of solitude, or through moments when the music is blaring from my iPod. God speaks. They make me remember and realize that God has created me and made me to be the person I am. He has breathed my life into my lungs, and put a bicycle in my grips. I couldn’t be happier than I am in these unique moments.

Though this process, I believe God has called me to a specific purpose and has gifted me spiritually as an apostle and a shepherd to plant churches to further His kingdom. Jesus talked about the Kingdom of God in the present tense, and I believe it is a present reality for me. God has blessed me with opportunities to serve with Tommy Hargrove at Ridgeview Church and Darrick Castronova at theWELL. Both of these great men have shaped and molded my passion and desire for expanding Christ's church and evangelizing the lost through church planting / church multiplication. I have learned  immensely from Tommy who exemplifies what it means to be servant leader, and from Darrick who champions what it means to create an environment of authentic relational community.

Enter now the next season of my life. I am joining the team at Randall Church and serving with Josh LaRavia who is a guy who eats, sleeps, and breathes discipleship, and is also committed to expanding God's church through church revitalization and multiplication. My role at Randall is that of Worship and Church Multiplication Pastor. I am responsible for leading worshippers into the throne-room of grace each gathering, as well as championing church planting and church multiplication for this church and the surrounding Buffalo-Niagara region. Cool things are happening in that arena already. God is opening some doors in Niagara County in North Tonawanda, and we are excited about the possibilities of planting a church there.  I'll be blogging throughout and ask you to be in prayer for the Wilson family as we expectingly look forward to what God has in store for us in this the next season of our lives.
