New Staff For Randall Church!

Last Sunday I shared a personal story at the annual meeting where my 9 year old daughter has developed a relationship with a 99 year old legacy member of the Randall congregation. It was through this personal story that I challenged our people in attendance to consider why our church exists? Why do we gather, why do we give financially, and why do we get involved? I believe we exist to pursue a heritage of faith for the next generation so they may experience the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

To pursue a heritage of faith for the next generation. We pursue. We engage. We fight valiantly. We strive. For the next generation of children coming through our care. For the next generation of teenagers who struggle to make life choices in an increasingly polarized world. For the next generation of leaders both in the church and in the marketplace. For the next generation of missionaries and church planters seeking God's direction.

To this end, it was with great excitement that I introduced our two new staff members by name at the annual meeting, as well as in person yesterday in our worship gathering. They are joining our team to operationalize what it looks like to be a heritage of faith for the next generation. Meet our new staff team members!

Bryan and Molly Long and their kids Mia and Micah come to us from Rochester, NY. They have much experience in the areas of church planting, student ministry, and leadership development. Bryan will be joining the team with a focus in the areas of Discipleship and Outreach, and will arrive in an early August timeframe.

Mario and Denise Delgado and their kids Josh and Carly come to us from Brooklyn, NY. Mario is retired from the military where he developed strong leadership and team building skills. However, even while they traveled the world, he and Denise have a strong history of deep roots in the local church wherever that might be. Mario will be joining the team with a focus in the areas of Worship and Students, and will arrive in a late July timeframe.

It has been so encouraging to talk with so many of you as we worked through this hiring process. For those of you who have already had the opportunity to spend time with both Bryan and Mario and their families, you know that these are wonderful families that will be an incredible asset to our church! With your help, we will boldly pursue a heritage of faith for the next generation. I really do believe that the best is yet to come!
