This was a very interesting week... the final week to get into the fantasy playoffs. Let me see if I can explain it to all of you "I think fantasy football is for losers" out there.

OK, here is my score card. As you can see, my regular performers were absolutley horrible. Philip Rivers, expected to earn 20 points: gets 6 points. Laveranues Coles was expected to get 9 points: gets zero.
Somehow, with some big help from Thomas Jones, and Jason Witten (who has been mediocre at best this season) I sneak out a win over Anigo Montoya.

This is unfortunate, because I had already gotten into the playoffs, and with this loss, Anigo Montoya falls short. With a win, he is in, and YANKEEDOODLE is out. But that is not the case.
Now look closely and you will see that Baseball Fans ties (TIES!) with Jesse and the Rippers.
Had Jesse scored 1 more point, he would have been the 2 seed with a bye in the first week of the playoffs. Instead he becomes the 4 seed, and Baseball Fans takes the 2 seed position.
Also notice that Baseball Fans has made 22 moves this season... very strategic moves, because he had a bad draft day. But Jesse and the Rippers has kept his original team from draft day, which is incredible.
That means that he was able to foresee injuries, bye week issues, and weak game performances... before the NFL played a single game!
All that said, I am quite happy to have a bye week. I am not sure what to expect in the NFL this Sunday.
So are you brought up to speed, or are you annoyed you wasted your time reading this post?

This solidified my place in the playoffs...hope everything continues to go as planned

For those of you keeping track, I am now 7-3. But Jeremy is still on top at 8-2.
I also made a big mistake and released Willis McGahee to the free agents this week. He had an incredible Sunday, and has been picked up by another team. Sorry to see him go.
I did not have my roster set correctly. Miweldi Moore sat on my bench with whopping 41 points... huge mistake. I won't let it happen again! I have the high point total, but the Baseball Fan is still beating us all with a great win/loss percentage.
He got what was coming to him...

Up until Monday night, I had this thing in the bag. I led by more than 20 points, and I was really pretty confident that Devery Henderson would not hurt me too bad. I was mistaken... This dude was only expected to get 4 fantasy points, but he hammered in a whopping 27 points. Are you kidding me? The only person left undefeated is Jeremy Bohall , he is in Croatia, where he can't watch any football, and wasn't able to make the draft day. He didn't have a very good draft, but has won every week despite all odds... what a competitor! Guess who he plays in week 6?

What can I say... it was a team effort. Sometimes it is the weakest player who shines the brightest. Don't put all your money on one man... he will always let you down.

(Isn't there a lesson to be learned here somewhere?)

Boogaloo talked a big game, and nearly got me, if it wasn't for a big night (again) by Philip Rivers. Thomas Jones didn't have much to offer, but his 2 points gave me the edge to shute down boogaloo's trash talkin. Now on to week 4, and the Purple People Eaters

This week went as I would have hoped... As you can see, my money man was Philip Rivers. I wish he would have won though, that would have made my victory that much sweeter!

The Incredibles were ranked #1 after the regular season last year. He had it coming to him. It felt good to deliver the blow. Now if I could just get Willis McGahee to perform to his potential.
Look out boogaloo. I comin for ya!
