We Are Companions Not Competitors

I had the opportunity to jump in an SUV this week, and drive down to Jamestown to meet with some fellow church leaders in the southern tier. It was a very productive, and encouraging day. It was a great reminder of one of the truths our people need to be reminded of often. Here it is: Churches in our region that adhere to the Gospel, teach Gods Word, and make the name of Jesus famous are our companions, not competitors.

Don't get caught in the trap of comparing our church to another, and assuming we are doing things correctly, and they are messing them up, or they have the corner on the market when it comes to a certain ministry, and our church is falling behind.

Remember this. We are all on the same team here. As Christ followers we are all part of the same body. We will all be worshiping together one day in Glory. Don't get caught engaging in friendly fire.
